PROPOSED boundary changes to Buchanan community council area are part of Stirling Council’s current consultation on the operation of community councils.
The online consultation – open until 2 May at http://bit.ly/BuchananCCsurvey – follows an initial public consultation in October 2017 and a subsequent Community Council Conference (25 November 2017).
While much of the consultation is to do with governance and operation of community councils, there are also some proposed boundary changes – one of which directly affects Buchanan Smithy residents.
The proposals are that the community council area stays as it is – or that Buchanan Castle Estate move into Drymen community council area
What is not made clear in the proposal that Buchanan Castle Estate be included in the Drymen community council area is that Buchanan Smithy would also be moved into the Drymen community council area.
If Buchanan Smithy residents – or any other responder – feel that another option should be considered, their option/preference should be noted in the “Other” response box.
The consultation ends on Wednesday 2 May 2018 – to make your views known, complete Stirling Council’s online survey at http://bit.ly/BuchananCCsurvey
